Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 25 years old to operate shuttle or drive guests
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company or own vehicles other than shuttle
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience with similar vehicle
  • No positive drug or alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion
  • No more than 2 moving traffic violations in the previous 36 months
  • No speeding violations over 25 MPH above the limit in the previous 36 months
  • No DUI convictions in previous 5 years
  • No vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or assault
  • No operating vehicle with suspended or revoked license
  • No use of vehicle in commission of a felony
  • No operating vehicle without owner’s permission
  • No reckless driving or speed contests
  • No leaving scene of accident involving injury or damage
  • No eluding police officer
  • No operating cell phone while driving violations
  • Regular attendance and compliance with company grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal, written, and electronic
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic computational ability
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers requiring patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system and POS
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements
  • Self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • Inform guests of all safety features and promote outlets if time permits
  • Offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel and local attractions
  • Store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading luggage into and out of automobiles
  • Call taxi for guests as requested
  • Prepare and maintain all tour and delivery paperwork and supervise group baggage transfers
  • Maintain the check-in station for appearance and operational effectiveness
  • Assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
  • Promote a positive working environment and follow employee handbook guidelines
  • Complete tasks including maintenance and cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and carts
  • Safely operate guest vehicles from valet to parking area and return vehicles for guest pick-up obeying all traffic laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
