Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in valet and guest services preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Flexible availability including long hours sometimes
  • Knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication in English
  • Energetic and outgoing
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow detailed directions
  • Ability to operate cash register and handle cash accurately

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in valet and guest services in hospitality or fast-paced environment preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures

  • Effective communication skills with ability to read, write, and understand English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, offer assistance with check-in/check-out, deliver laundry and store luggage
  • Know the complete hotel facilities and layout to escort guests to and from rooms and explain amenities and emergency procedures
  • Deliver flowers, packages, gifts, amenities, messages, and parcels as directed
  • Provide valet parking services following company transportation guidelines
  • Assist with fostering relations with car rental companies, taxi services, and limo services
  • Provide information and recommendations about local restaurants, theaters, events, and activities
  • Maintain and polish bell carts and keep work area clean and orderly
  • Handle maintenance program for company vehicles including cleaning, refueling, and trip logs
  • Report and follow up on guest complaints or problems to ensure quality experiences
  • Use clear English-speaking voice, listen with empathy, and document incident details
  • Effectively handle internal and external customer interactions requiring patience and diplomacy
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, walking significant distances
  • Stand, walk, or sit continuously during shift
  • Observe signs of emergency situations using hearing and visual abilities
  • Lift and carry goods weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Climb stairs and ladders quickly
  • Perform duties in extreme temperature conditions
  • Work 8-hour shifts with varying scheduled days and times based on need
