Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years experience in valet or guest services in hospitality or similar fast-paced environment
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and property management systems
  • Strong command of English language
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including long shifts
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, walking and climbing
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle guest concerns tactfully
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize
  • Must be service oriented and detail focused
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • 1+ years prior valet and guest services experience in hospitality or fast-paced environment preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Micros Station
  • Working knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures
  • Service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Team player capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Basic financial literacy and arithmetic skills
  • Knowledge of classic and modern cocktails
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, offer assistance with check-in/check-out, deliver laundry and store luggage
  • Know the complete hotel facilities and layout to escort guests to and from their rooms, explaining in-room amenities, emergency procedures and general hotel facilities
  • Deliver flowers, packages, gifts, amenities, messages and parcels as directed
  • Provide valet parking service following company transportation guidelines
  • Assist with maintaining good relations with car rental companies, taxi services, tour and travel companies, limo services
  • Provide information and recommend local restaurants, theaters, events and activities
  • Maintain and polish all bell carts, keep work area clean and orderly
  • Perform maintenance of company vehicles including cleaning, refueling, and trip logs
  • Report and follow-up on guest complaints and problems promptly and professionally
  • Use clear, concise English, listen empathetically, document incidents accurately
  • Handle physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, walking between buildings
  • Stand, walk and/or sit continuously during shift
  • Detect signs of emergency situations via hearing and visual cues
  • Lift or carry goods weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Climb stairs and ladders quickly
  • Work within extreme temperature ranges
  • Comply with scheduled 8-hour shifts with flexible days and times as needed
