- ability to stand in one location for extended periods in outdoor weather conditions with breaks and lunch periods as required by law
- understanding of The Salvation Army’s mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and Christian principles
- professionalism in communication and job duties
Job Duties
- Monitor a kettle at an assigned location ensuring it is never left unattended and funds are secure
- ring a handheld bell where allowed by management to attract attention and encourage donations
- greet the public in a courteous and friendly manner expressing appreciation to donors
- distribute printed materials or other items as instructed by supervisor
- provide general information about The Salvation Army’s operations and services
- conduct job duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s ministry and Christian principles
- attend employee meetings as required
