Job Requirements

  • Regularly required to see, talk, and hear
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Must occasionally move and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor under occasional fast-paced and noisy work conditions

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred
  • Previous guest service, front door, or bell service experience in a luxury property preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain the strictest confidence of all confidential and proprietary information
  • Greet guests with positive body language and friendly demeanor following the 10-5 rule
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities when requested, and thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving the property
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, as well as local areas of interest
  • Identify and explain room features to guests such as use of room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, laundry services
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and designated bell area
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
  • Assist guests and visitors in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage
  • Supply guests with directions
  • Arrange transportation such as taxi, shuttle, limousine, or sedan service for guests and visitors and record advance transportation requests
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Speak clearly and professionally, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Deliver messages, packages, flowers, wine, and housekeeping items to guest rooms upon request
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations, standards, and hotel rating guidelines
  • Move at required speed to respond to work situations
  • Maintain proper storage and labeling of guest keys and tags
  • Share or divide attention among multiple activities or assignments
  • Hang coats and tag luggage for guests
  • Perform room checks for occupancy and complete room moves
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
