Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under deadline pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospitality environment
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift as required
  • Compliance with OSHA safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment when necessary

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time and in uniform, properly groomed with appropriate name tag
  • Immediately respond to all arriving and departing guests by opening door and assisting with luggage, parcels, etc.
  • Make room deliveries requested by other departments or guests
  • Keep lobby neat and presentable
  • Show rooms and hotel facilities to guests and potential guests as requested by management
  • Check bags for guests who wish to store them
  • Monitor lobby for non-hotel guests and report to management
  • Explain hotel facilities while showing people to their rooms
  • Maintain necessary supplies by informing Front Office Manager of Bell Staff needs
  • Inform Front Office Manager of rooms needing housekeeping or maintenance
  • Encourage guests to visit local attractions and arrange activities such as tours and transportation
  • Report security breaches or concerns to management
  • Use time clock to punch in and out
  • Resolve guest problems and complaints and report outcomes to management
  • Assist front desk in answering telephone calls and directing calls to the appropriate source
  • Perform other related duties as requested by management
  • Attend necessary meetings
