Job Requirements
- License for the state of California required
- Reside in or near Sacramento, Shasta, or Humboldt counties preferred
- Ability to travel within Northern California as needed
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional healthcare experience including 5 years in behavioral health
- Current, valid, independent, and unrestricted license such as RN, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist
- Ability to work virtually and in the field
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in behavioral health or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in healthcare including at least 5 years in behavioral health
- Current and unrestricted licensure such as RN, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist valid in California
- Strong knowledge of managed care and behavioral health provider environments
- Experience with data analysis and performance improvement initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and in a hybrid remote and field setting
Job Duties
- Establish relationships and engage with behavioral health providers to ensure measurable improvements in clinical and quality outcomes
- Build relationships with internal clinical and quality departments to support high-quality care and meet HEDIS performance goals
- Meet routinely with strategic providers face to face, telephonically, and via Web-Ex to provide training, contracting support, and issue resolution
- Act as a liaison between providers and internal departments including clinical, quality, operations, provider strategy, and claims
- Support regional and corporate initiatives like the Carelon Select Provider program and clinical innovation efforts
- Create and maintain linkages between providers and community-based services to improve care transitions and continuity
- Analyze provider reports on cost, utilization, and outcomes to identify trends, outliers, and improvement opportunities
- Participate in pilot program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide clinical consultation for complex member cases as applicable
- Conduct quarterly physician record reviews and assist with provider orientation and training sessions
- Attend county behavioral health provider meetings either in person or virtually to foster community collaboration
