Job Requirements
- experience as a beertender, bartender, or barback in a dynamic or high-volume environment
- practical knowledge of national and craft beer styles, alcohol content, glassware, proper pouring techniques, and barrel cocktail preparation
- ability to serve basic food items quickly with attention to detail
- excellent communication skills with a warm and customer-focused attitude
- ability to lift kegs and boxes and stand for long periods in varying weather conditions
- must be 20 years or older and possess or obtain a valid Kentucky Alcohol Service Permit
- flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- valid Fayette County Food Handling License required for all food and beverage staff
- must obtain license before first scheduled shift
- Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license required for all racetrack workers and will be issued on behalf of Keeneland at hiring

Job Duties
- serve a variety of draft and bottled/canned beers efficiently and accurately
- prepare and serve barrel cocktails ensuring proper technique, portioning, and consistency
- greet customers with genuine hospitality and provide recommendations based on personal preferences, menu pairings, and seasonal offerings
- serve snacks and quick food options such as burgers and hot dogs with attention to presentation and prompt service
- maintain a clean and organized workstation including taps, refrigerators, and bar surfaces
- monitor keg levels and assist with keg changes to maintain uninterrupted service flow
- assist bar and concession staff with restocking and product preparation during pre-opening and throughout the service
- comply with Keeneland's responsible alcohol service policy and all Kentucky ABC regulations
- adhere to health code, safety standards, and sanitation related to proper food handling and storage
- handle cash, operate POS systems, and perform reconciliation procedures accurately
- assist in opening and closing the bar as needed and maintain professionalism during all customer interactions
