Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as a retail Certified Pharmacy Technician and pharmacy experience
  • Active CPhT certification with maintenance of continuing education and timely recertification
  • Certification as an H-E-B Pharmacy Technician
  • RxEVO certification
  • Successful completion of required training including H-E-B Screener, Advanced Cash Register, HIPAA, FWA, MethGuard, Diversity, Company orientation, and relevant pharmacy modules
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced retail office environment
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods up to 12 hours
  • Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs or more
  • Capability to perform repetitive hand and finger motions
  • Ability to meet specific vision requirements including close and color vision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as a retail Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Active CPhT certification
  • Knowledge of pharmacy-related management tasks and H-E-B RxEVO system
  • Understanding of H-E-B Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures
  • Advanced communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and pharmacy applications
  • Mathematical skills including calculating measurements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
  • Self-starter with ability to work with little supervision
  • Team-oriented and open to cross-training

Job Duties

  • Provide superior customer service and service standards
  • Promote and embody 'Greet, Ask & Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies
  • Manage exception station and solve third-party issues
  • Receive and process written prescriptions using RxEVO, verify patient information, manage adjudication review
  • Coordinate Rx screening events, immunization scheduling, and other Professional Services activities
  • Maintain H-E-B Rx screener status and participate in screening events
  • Assist with Pharmacy operations tasks such as recalls, offsite record storage, and department communications
  • Order and manage inventory, process invoices daily
  • Review warehouse and DSD orders
  • Check deliveries for accuracy and notify vendors of discrepancies
  • Maintain automated prescription processing equipment including calibration and maintenance
  • Apply computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
  • Process RxIMS reports
  • Perform prescription assembly with tools and verify prescriptions by 7-point check
  • Ensure privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information as per HIPAA
  • Ensure compliance with Central Fill procedures
  • Participate in Pharmacy Partner compliance with ORT, 5-S, and Pharmacy Standards Review
  • Manage return to stock procedures and maintain organization of pharmacy shelves
  • Support pharmacy manager in facility upkeep and ensure 5-S compliance
  • Perform other assigned duties
