Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail pharmacy preferred
  • Active State of Texas registration as certified pharmacy technician or Pharmacy Tech Trainee
  • RxEVO certification
  • Successful completion of required training and certifications
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods up to 12 hours
  • Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs or more
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand or finger motions
  • Meet specific vision requirements including close and color vision
  • Completion of Tech in Training agreement and registration for next available certification exam within 12 months
  • Completion of licensing as TSBP Pharm Tech within 18 months
  • Successful passing of the H-E-B Pharm Tech exam

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Active State of Texas registration as certified pharmacy technician or as a Pharmacy Tech Trainee
  • RxEVO certification
  • Successful completion of required training and certifications including Advanced Cash Register, HIPAA, FWA, MethGuard, Diversity, Company orientation, Pharmacy Technician and PCR modules, H-E-B Screener certification and status
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Windows, and H-E-B systems such as RxEVO, RxIMS, PartnerNet, Workforce Manager
  • Mathematical skills for calculating measurements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure in high-stress situations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to cross-train

Job Duties

  • Receives and processes written prescriptions from customers using RxEVO
  • verifies complete patient information to input into the computer system
  • processes third-party prescriptions
  • manages adjudication review
  • Role models and provides superior customer service and service standards
  • Promotes and embodies 'Greet, Ask & Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies
  • Manages exception station
  • solves third-party issues
  • Coordinates Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future events
  • Maintains H-E-B Rx screener status
  • participates in screening events
  • Assists with Pharmacy operations-related tasks such as out-of-date or dead stock returns
  • Assists Supervisor with department communications and other functions as needed
  • Orders and manages inventory
  • processes invoices daily on a timely basis
  • Reviews Warehouse and DSD orders
  • Checks deliveries for accuracy
  • notifies H-E-B or DSD vendor of discrepancies
  • makes necessary adjustments
  • Maintains automated prescription processing equipment including calibration, maintenance, stocking, proper report execution
  • Applies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
  • Processes RxIMS reports
  • Performs prescription assembly, hand-counts controlled medications, measures liquids, reconstitutes antibiotics
  • verifies and labels prescriptions by 7-point check
  • Ensures privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information as required by HIPAA
  • ensures proper procedures related to prescription delivery
  • Ensures compliance with Central Fill check-in procedures
  • Participates in and ensures Pharmacy Partner compliance with ORT, 5-S, and Pharmacy Standards Review
  • Ensures proper return to stock procedures are followed

  • Participates in and supports Pharmacy Manager in facility and office maintenance and upkeep
