Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of relevant experience
- completion of food safety and sanitation training
- training in equipment operation, cleaning, and maintenance
- ability to lift and handle weights up to 55 lbs
- capability to work in wet, cold, or hot conditions
- strong communication skills
- ability to work in fast-paced retail environment
- physical ability to perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, and lifting as required
- willingness to adhere to health and safety protocols
Job Qualifications

- minimum 1 year of experience in food service or retail

Job Duties
- Proactively provides superior customer service
- takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answers customer questions regarding products
- assists them with selections
- works independently with minimal supervision
- applies expertise to prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- focuses on inspecting for quality
- slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- assists in technical areas such as operation of Tortilleria
- uses advanced selling techniques and product knowledge to build department sales
- cleans and sanitizes display cases
- operates and maintains complex equipment properly
- complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- complies with department and store operating procedures
- records production and shrink to aid in production planning
- greets and assists service counter customers timely
- manages Make Ready application for e-Commerce orders
- performs inventory management processes
- trains other partners
- ensures catering orders are prepared for pickup
- provides product demos and education
- ensures sanitation and maintenance tasks for equipment are followed
- serves and packages products at customer requests
- educates customers on preparation and reheating of prepared foods
- prepackages condiments for prepared food items
- cuts and dices food in preparation for chefs
