Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience preferred
- 1+ years of experience as an active retail certified pharmacy technician
- active State of Texas registration as certified pharmacy technician and maintain certification through continuing education
- recertify 60 days prior to expiration
- certification as an H-E-B Pharmacy Technician
- RxEVO certification
- successful completion of required training including H-E-B Screener certification, Advanced Cash Register, HIPAA, FWA, MethGuard, Diversity, Company orientation, and applicable pharmacy modules
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail office environment
- able to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- able to stand for extended periods up to 12 hours
- able to regularly lift 30 pounds or more
- able to use hands in repetitive motions requiring dexterity
- meet vision requirements including close and color vision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience as a retail certified pharmacy technician
- active CPhT certification
- knowledge and understanding of H-E-B Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures
- advanced communication skills and telephone etiquette
- intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Windows, RxEVO, RxIMS, PartnerNet, and Workforce Manager
- mathematical skills including calculating measurements
- ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under stress
- ability to work with little supervision and as a self-starter
- willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and cross-train
- experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
Job Duties
- Role models and provides superior customer service and service standards
- promotes and embodies 'Greet, Ask & Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies
- manages exception station and solves third-party issues
- receives and processes written prescriptions from customers using RxEVO and verifies complete patient information
- processes third-party prescriptions and manages adjudication review
- coordinates prescription screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future events
- maintains H-E-B Rx screener status and participates in screening events
- assists with pharmacy operations-related tasks including responding to recalls and department communications
- orders and manages inventory and processes invoices timely
- reviews warehouse and DSD orders and checks deliveries for accuracy
- maintains automated prescription processing equipment including calibration and maintenance
- applies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
- processes RxIMS reports including count compliance and order overrides
- performs other assigned duties
