Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and stock up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to push, walk, bend, and use keyboard and telephone
  • Must maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow safety and health regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or team lead role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members
  • Basic math and cash handling skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, heath department and weights and measures requirements
  • Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a "customer comes first" attitude and connecting with the customer
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and the mission of both Bashas' and Starbucks
  • Maintain a calm exterior presence during periods of high volume or unusual events to maintain a clean and comfortable store environment
  • Anticipate customer and store needs
  • Follow Bashas' operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all members
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that members can locate inventory and product as needed
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments
  • Assist with new member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • All other related duties as assigned
