Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or retail food environment preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of bakery operations and safety standards
- Basic math skills for pricing and weighing
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as scale printer machines
Job Duties
- Providing fast and friendly customer service
- Using scale printer machine and ensuring correct weights and pricing
- Monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage
- Keeping the bench, production, storage areas and walk-in coolers and freezers clean and orderly
- Assistance in wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery products with proper rotation
- Displaying goods according to bakery department and merchandising guidelines
- Taking customer orders and ensuring timely completion to satisfaction
- Helping decorators and bakers with cake personalization and icing
- Performing all other related duties as assigned
