Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate standard bakery equipment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or retail food environment preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a retail setting preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of bakery products and food safety standards
- Ability to train and motivate team members
- Basic math skills for inventory and pricing
- Customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Directing bakery department personnel, meeting department goals and objectives
- Managing bakery in the absence of the bakery team lead
- Communicating with bakery team lead, store director and bakery specialist
- Ordering necessary supplies and products to maintain stock levels
- Merchandising bakery goods per standards
- Executing and supporting sales and merchandising initiatives
- Serving as leader, coach, performance evaluator and trainer for the team
- Ensuring compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
- Monitoring product pricing, signage and placement
- Maintaining clean and orderly check stand, sales counter and work areas
- Wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing and stocking bakery products
- Taking customer orders and ensuring satisfaction
- Performing related duties as assigned
