Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be 21 years old for any position that serves alcohol
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior bakery or retail experience preferred
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Ability to comply with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in bakery or retail environment preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of bakery products and safe food handling practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for inventory and pricing management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 years old, 21 for positions serving alcohol

Job Duties

  • Directing bakery department personnel, meeting department’s goals and objectives
  • Managing the bakery while the bakery team lead is not on duty
  • Communicating directly with the bakery team lead, store director and bakery specialist
  • Ordering the supplies and products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Merchandising bakery goods in accordance with bakery merchandising standards
  • Execute and support all sales and merchandising initiatives
  • Serving as the leader of his/her department, role model, coach, performance evaluator and trainer for his/her team
  • Ensuring department and team compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
  • Understanding the importance of and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage
  • Keeping a clean, neat and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas
  • Wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety
  • Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction
  • All other related duties as assigned
