Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be 21 years old for any position that serves alcohol
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Prior bakery or retail experience preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in bakery or retail environment preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of bakery products and safe food handling practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for inventory and pricing management
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years old, 21 for positions serving alcohol
Job Duties
- Directing bakery department personnel, meeting department’s goals and objectives
- Managing the bakery while the bakery team lead is not on duty
- Communicating directly with the bakery team lead, store director and bakery specialist
- Ordering the supplies and products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
- Merchandising bakery goods in accordance with bakery merchandising standards
- Execute and support all sales and merchandising initiatives
- Serving as the leader of his/her department, role model, coach, performance evaluator and trainer for his/her team
- Ensuring department and team compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
- Understanding the importance of and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage
- Keeping a clean, neat and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas
- Wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety
- Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction
- All other related duties as assigned
