Job Requirements
- Meet the requirements of a Base Line Pilot
- 230-pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots
- Must operate aircraft in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company manuals
- Ability to conduct local area orientations for new pilots
- Capability to monitor and manage flight operations and administrative issues
- Must be prepared to report rested and ready for duty
- Ability to complete thorough preflight inspections and report discrepancies
Job Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Previous Helicopter Air Ambulance experience or equivalent preferred
- One year experience as a pilot with a GMR company preferred
- Previous supervisory experience helpful
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Provide leadership and training to Base Line Pilots
- Develop and coordinate pilot duty schedules with the Regional Director of Flight Operations
- Coordinate flight planning activities and mission support resources with the Program Director
- Conduct local area orientations for new hire pilots
- Coordinate aviation activities related to public relations events
- Review, correct, and submit monthly flight/duty logs for base pilots
- Monitor pilots at the base and assist with flight and administrative issues
- Submit payroll grids to the Regional Director of Flight Operations
- Operate aircraft safely and efficiently in compliance with Rotorcraft Flight Manual
- Monitor weather conditions and forecast changes
- Conduct preflight inspections and document discrepancies
- Report to duty rested, prepared, and current on weather forecasts
