Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of food menu, drink recipes and mixology techniques
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately
  • Basic math skills for measuring and mixing ingredients
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items such as kegs or cases of alcohol
  • A positive, outgoing, friendly attitude
  • Professional and neat personal appearance
  • This position requires evening and weekend availability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Job Duties

  • Mixing and serving drinks including cocktails, beer, and wine
  • Creating new and exciting drink recipes and adapting to customer preferences
  • Suggestive selling to increase sales such as recommending premium liquors or special cocktails
  • Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Taking and processing drink orders from customers
  • Engaging with patrons by providing recommendations and answering questions about the drink menu
  • Handling multiple drink orders and customer requests simultaneously
  • Keeping the bar area clean and organized at all times
  • Regularly cleaning and sanitizing glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
  • Processing payments and providing accurate change
  • Handling customer tabs and payments responsibly
  • Ensuring responsible alcohol service by identifying and addressing overconsumption
  • Monitoring and restocking the bar with supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware
  • Keeping track of inventory levels and reporting shortages
  • Following all local and state alcohol regulations including checking IDs and not serving underage or intoxicated customers
