Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or general education degree
  • at least 6 months of previous bartending and serving experience
  • knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4 and Arizona Alcohol Awareness
  • possession of Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
  • must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • at least 6 months of previous bartending and serving experience
  • related experience in medium to high volume restaurant preferred
  • knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4
  • knowledge of Arizona Alcohol Awareness
  • working knowledge of electronic point of sale systems
  • Maricopa County Food Handlers Card

Job Duties

  • Ensure excellent customer service for every guest every time
  • greet guests, present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverages
  • write order on check or memorize it
  • mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • serve wine and draught or bottled beer
  • relay order to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving if required
  • slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when meal has been completed
  • act immediately on all customer comments to ensure corrections are made
  • total bill and accept payment or refer patron to cashier
  • operate cash register, ring proper amount, and give correct change
  • set up and supply beverage area with clean glassware, utensils, condiments and paper supplies
  • remove soiled glassware and utensils from table and counter tops
  • make coffee as needed
  • add ice and change soft drink containers
  • maintain cleanliness of designated areas in accordance with health and safety standards
  • ensure work areas and serving items are free from hazards
  • renew Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
  • attend bi-annual Arizona state liquor law training
  • properly execute bottle service according to mandated steps
  • maintain knowledge of Credit Card Compliance requirements and PCI standards by attending training
  • follow PCI Compliance regulations to protect card holder data
  • enforce all applicable regulations under Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X
  • observe and report suspicious activity in compliance with Title 31 regulations
  • attend Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training annually or as required
