Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • full time lead position requiring full flexibility
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and varied schedule
  • must be TIPS certified or able to become TIPS certified within 30 days of hire
  • must be able to pass a background check

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • college degree in hospitality or business preferred
  • minimum 2 years experience in bar operations preferably in a high volume restaurant or lounge
  • knowledge of standard drink recipes
  • knowledge of spirits, wine and beer
  • understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishes
  • good verbal communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
  • interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction
  • extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, customer relations and service standards
  • knowledge of proper food handling requirements
  • strong mathematical skills
  • proficiency with current point of sale system and cash handling reports

Job Duties

  • Providing exemplary customer service
  • take beverage orders from guests and servers
  • present drink menus make recommendations and answer guests' questions
  • prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including proper glassware and garnish with standard drink recipes
  • peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
  • take accurate orders while maximizing sales using selling techniques and product knowledge
