Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- full time lead position requiring full flexibility
- ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and varied schedule
- must be TIPS certified or able to become TIPS certified within 30 days of hire
- must be able to pass a background check
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- college degree in hospitality or business preferred
- minimum 2 years experience in bar operations preferably in a high volume restaurant or lounge
- knowledge of standard drink recipes
- knowledge of spirits, wine and beer
- understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishes
- good verbal communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction
- extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, customer relations and service standards
- knowledge of proper food handling requirements
- strong mathematical skills
- proficiency with current point of sale system and cash handling reports
Job Duties
- Providing exemplary customer service
- take beverage orders from guests and servers
- present drink menus make recommendations and answer guests' questions
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including proper glassware and garnish with standard drink recipes
- peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- take accurate orders while maximizing sales using selling techniques and product knowledge
