Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age for service of intoxicating liquor
  • Experience in food and beverage service
  • One year of experience bartending/serving
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • Knowledge of laws concerning the service and use of intoxicating liquor

Job Qualifications

  • Must have outstanding customer service skills
  • Must be able to understand and execute the safety with service of intoxicating beverages
  • Must be able to properly ID customers for service of alcohol and tobacco
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must have the ability to operate cash register and handle money and charges
  • Must present a professional image
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, employees and the public

Job Duties

  • Responsible for opening and/or closing the bar and grill
  • Responsible for coordinating the entire food service station and communicating with the front and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations
  • Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and in a timely manner
  • Ensure that patrons are satisfied with the food and the service
  • Process guest checks, accept payment and make change
  • Accountable for cash and guest check charges
  • Assist with stocking of food and beverage supplies
  • Assist with food and beverage preparation
  • Maintain knowledge of menu and food preparation practices
  • Perform all set-up and cleaning of front of house and bar
  • Perform various duties as assigned by management
