Job Duties
- Efficiently and properly performs all service and sequences of service standards
- sets up and breaks down the bar area
- performs accurate cash and POS procedures
- counts bank on a daily basis
- maintains inventory at par levels
- greets and acknowledges with a smile guests promptly and in a friendly manner
- recognizes repeat guests, welcomes them back
- addresses guests by surname whenever possible
- prepares and serves drinks according to recipes for guests and servers
- ensures standardization and consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality
- responsibility to sell on a consistent basis, while continuing to create new strategies for increasing the check average of each guest
- responsible to upsell on any given opportunity
- retains and maintains complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items
- using the bar food menu as another selling tool
- checks identification for proof of age when required
- builds a rapport with guests while serving them
- monitors guest's drinks and anticipates guest's needs
- provides food service as appropriate
- keeps bar counter clean at all times
- ensures proper payment from departing guests
- invites and welcomes guests back upon completion of their visit
- prepares bar for next shift
- performs accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures
- ensures the order and cleanliness of the bar is in accordance to health and safety regulations
- must be knowledgeable about hotel, restaurant/lounge and surroundings, i.e nearby entertainment, stores, hotels, etc.
- performs all duties and sequences of service in adherence to standards
- must have the ability to provide friendly, courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers/guests, at all times
- must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary
- must have the ability to report to work on time and on a regular basis
- other duties as assigned
