Job Requirements

Able to serve alcohol according to state law
Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location
Able to perform simple mathematical calculations related to money handling
Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to five hours
Good sense of balance
Able to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently up to 25 pounds
Must have a passion to serve and a friendly, polite attitude

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior bartending or hospitality experience preferred
Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and maintain composure in busy environments
Knowledge of drink making techniques and recipes
Understanding of bar accounting procedures

Job Duties

Be an effective salesperson by understanding food and beverage menus, specials, and promos
Make each guest feel appreciated through accommodating actions
Practice the "Hospitality Halo" by smiling, stepping aside, and speaking first to guests and team members
Work as a team with all O'Charley's team members
Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with guests and team members
Immediately greet guests and ensure prompt and efficient food and beverage delivery
Maintain general appearance of the bar through cleaning and stocking
