Job Requirements

  • ability to meet company standards for guest service
  • knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding alcohol service
  • minimum age as required by law for bartending
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and long shifts
  • physical capability to stand and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
  • excellent attendance record
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • customer service orientation
  • bartending license or certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • six months or more bartending experience
  • accurate cash handling skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
  • bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide beverage service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following all state and federal regulations
  • learn and have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
  • check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirements
  • communicate cut-offs to guests as required
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • contact management for decision-making beyond standard scope
  • request additional or restock products as required
  • handle cash accurately and be responsible for assigned bar bank
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • perform setup and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
