Job Duties

  • Greet register and assign rooms to guests
  • Answer telephone inquiries
  • Post charges compute bill collect payment and make change for guests
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Monitor room availability and block rooms
  • Program wake-up calls
  • Handle guest mail and messages
  • Perform check-out services
  • Open and close shifts making cash drops as necessary
  • Prepare cocktails in accordance with standard beverage recipes
  • Wash glassware as needed
  • Prepare and serve bar food items
  • Assist in the set-up and closing of the bar using provided checklists
  • Complete daily inventory prep sheet
  • Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment
  • Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings including wine lists and cocktail menu
  • Provide information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel and surrounding areas
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby front entrance railyard and surrounding areas
  • Assist in checking all lobby fixtures equipment and conditions for proper operation settings and maintenance
  • Report deficiencies
