Job Requirements
- Must have valid driver’s license to operate beverage carts
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior bartending experience required
- Must be age 21 or older
- Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire
- Knowledge of cocktails and drink recipes
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
- Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and organization
- Ability to work cooperatively
- Ability to perform independently
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Prior bartending experience
- Knowledge in the art and science of cocktails and drink recipes
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Ability to perform work with accuracy and organization
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to perform with independence and initiative
Job Duties
- Greets guests and takes beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests
- Mixes drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
- Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Collects payment for drinks served and follows all cash handling procedures
- Works with Bar Manager to ensure bar area is fully equipped with necessary tools and products and prepares inventory or purchase orders as needed
- Serves snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions
- Maintains a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and wiping as needed
- Provides guidance to guests on Cleveland Metroparks activities and other regional information
- Keeps direct supervisor informed of significant issues or concerns
- Carries out duties safely to maintain a safe work environment and responds to hazardous situations promptly
- Performs related duties as assigned or apparent
