This job opening is with a well-established hotel that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing continuous hospitality services to ensure guest satisfaction at all times. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • ability to transport up to 30 pounds continuously during shift
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • good communication skills
  • availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • physical ability to perform frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing and smiling
  • must be neat, clean and well-groomed

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of all state, federal and corporate liquor laws
  • current food handler card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • English writing skills
  • manual dexterity for using knife and handling bottles and glassware
  • English language proficiency for customer communication
  • ability to understand and apply product labeling instructions
  • ability to memorize and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate daily bar setup including stocking supplies
  • ensure quality by cutting and storing fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes and perishables
  • handle cash transactions including receiving cash, making change and recording charges
  • secure beverages, food and equipment and deposit cash drops
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and create guest checks to maintain beverage accountability
  • perform cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • assist other beverage personnel as needed
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
