Job Requirements

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • minimum age requirement of 21 years
  • must obtain a TABC license within the first 30 days of employment
  • working knowledge of standard drink recipes
  • knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer
  • understanding of different alcohol classes, glasses, brand names, and garnishments
  • familiarity with bar equipment
  • mixology knowledge is a plus
  • numeracy and cash-handling skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules
  • capable of standing for long periods and frequently lifting up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet customers and present beverage menus
  • recommend drinks and answer inquiries
  • verify legal drinking age by checking IDs
  • take and record drink orders accurately
  • prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes
  • garnish drinks with fresh fruits
  • upsell drinks and snacks to customers
  • respond promptly to customer requests
  • follow procedures to manage excessive drinking
  • process transactions and handle payments
  • arrange and display bar items attractively
  • maintain cleanliness of glasses, bar equipment, and work areas
  • balance cash register at the start and end of shifts
  • monitor and restock bar inventory
  • uphold FEC standards and report any misconduct
