Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending experience
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work on feet for extended periods
  • capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to follow company dress code including wearing close-toed shoes and pants
  • willingness to comply with GMP guidelines for food handling positions
  • ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a professional bartender
  • strong knowledge of classic cocktails
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service
  • familiarity with point of sale systems
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • understanding of Tennessee state beverage regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • interact with customers and take orders of food and drinks
  • assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails to Nelson’s specifications
  • plan and present bar menu
  • check customers’ identification and confirm it meets Tennessee’s drinking requirements
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies before and after each shift
  • stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • comply with all food and beverage regulations for the State of Tennessee
