Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and busy environments
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Adherence to company dress code including close-toed shoes and pants
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a bartender or in a similar role
- Knowledge of classic cocktails and mixology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service orientation
- Understanding of state alcohol service laws and regulations
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Job Duties
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders of food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails to Nelson’s specifications
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets Tennessee’s drinking requirements
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies before and after each shift
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations for the State of Tennessee
