Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending experience
  • ability to work full-time and flexible hours
  • physical ability to stand or move for extended periods
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • comply with dress code including close-toed shoes and pants
  • maintain personal grooming according to GMP guidelines
  • reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of classic cocktails and mixology techniques
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to engage with customers and provide personalized service
  • familiarity with Tennessee alcohol laws and regulations
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • interact with customers, take orders of food and drinks
  • assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails to Nelson’s specifications
  • plan and present bar menu
  • check customers’ identification and confirm it meets Tennessee’s drinking requirements
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies before and after each shift
  • stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • comply with all food and beverage regulations for the State of Tennessee
