Job Requirements

  • Bartending experience
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable operating point of sale machines and cash registers
  • Willingness to work on feet for entire shifts
  • Physical ability to reach, crouch, bend, and perform other strenuous activities
  • Adherence to dress code including close-toed shoes and pants
  • Compliance with GMP guidelines for food handling positions
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a bartender or in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails and drink preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and personable demeanor
  • Familiarity with Tennessee's alcohol serving regulations
  • Strong guest service orientation

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • interact with customers and take orders of food and drinks
  • assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails to Nelson's specifications
  • plan and present bar menu
  • check customers' identification and confirm it meets Tennessee’s drinking requirements
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies before and after each shift
  • stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • comply with all food and beverage regulations for the State of Tennessee
