Job Requirements
- must be 21 years of age or older
- must have valid Maricopa County Food Handlers card
- must be able to get along with co-workers and be a team player
- must be open to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift or move up to 25 pounds
- must be able to handle the physical demands of the job including walking stooping kneeling and climbing as needed
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- at least 1 year of bartending experience or completion of in-house training as bar back or beverage server
- knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4 and Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification a plus
- must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- must be able to work quickly and accurately in stressful situations
- must be able to read write speak and understand English
Job Duties
- ensures excellent customer service for every guest every time
- takes orders from customers or beverage servers
- mixes ingredients such as liquor soda water sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- serves wine and draught or bottled beer
- collects money for drinks served
- operates a cash register ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change
- resourceful with beverages fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs
- arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display
- slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
- replenishes bar snacks such as chips pretzels and nuts where available
- maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards
- ensures that designated work areas flatware glasses dinnerware and other used to serve customers are free from hazards
