Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • must have valid Maricopa County Food Handlers card
  • must be able to get along with co-workers and be a team player
  • must be open to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
  • must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift or move up to 25 pounds
  • must be able to handle the physical demands of the job including walking stooping kneeling and climbing as needed

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • at least 1 year of bartending experience or completion of in-house training as bar back or beverage server
  • knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4 and Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification a plus
  • must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • must be able to work quickly and accurately in stressful situations
  • must be able to read write speak and understand English

Job Duties

  • ensures excellent customer service for every guest every time
  • takes orders from customers or beverage servers
  • mixes ingredients such as liquor soda water sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • serves wine and draught or bottled beer
  • collects money for drinks served
  • operates a cash register ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change
  • resourceful with beverages fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs
  • arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display
  • slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
  • replenishes bar snacks such as chips pretzels and nuts where available
  • maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards
  • ensures that designated work areas flatware glasses dinnerware and other used to serve customers are free from hazards
