Job Requirements

  • Be 21 years of age
  • Have at least three years of experience in front-of-the-house food and beverage operations or assistant management
  • Possess excellent math and cash handling skills
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Stamina to work between 50 and 60 hours per week
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Be 21 years of age
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of the restaurant's trading area
  • Have at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management experience in food and beverage service
  • Possess excellent basic math skills
  • Have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods
  • Be physically able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Have stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high stress environment while maintaining a team focused attitude

Job Duties

  • Take beverage orders from guests and servers
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
  • Learn the names and personally recognize regular guests
  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the register system
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if applicable
  • Wash and sterilize glassware
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons
  • Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
  • Clear and reset tables in the bar area
  • Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer beverage-related questions
  • Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage
  • Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
  • Report equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
  • Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
  • Be available to fill in as needed to support restaurant operations
  • Clean tables, doors, floors, windows, vents, lights, and maintain a sanitary environment throughout the restaurant
  • Provide a genuinely hospitable experience
