Job Requirements
- Be 21 years of age
- Have at least three years of experience in front-of-the-house food and beverage operations or assistant management
- Possess excellent math and cash handling skills
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
- Stamina to work between 50 and 60 hours per week
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Be 21 years of age
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of the restaurant's trading area
- Have at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management experience in food and beverage service
- Possess excellent basic math skills
- Have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods
- Be physically able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Have stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high stress environment while maintaining a team focused attitude
Job Duties
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
- Learn the names and personally recognize regular guests
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the register system
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if applicable
- Wash and sterilize glassware
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
- Clear and reset tables in the bar area
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer beverage-related questions
- Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
- Report equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
- Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- Be available to fill in as needed to support restaurant operations
- Clean tables, doors, floors, windows, vents, lights, and maintain a sanitary environment throughout the restaurant
- Provide a genuinely hospitable experience
