Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years bartending experience preferably in fine dining
- knowledge of Japanese beverage culture and premium spirits
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- certification in alcohol service where applicable
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- availability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- legal age to serve alcohol
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant
- deep knowledge of Japanese alcoholic beverages including sake and whiskey
- strong mixology skills and creativity in cocktail design
- excellent customer service and communication abilities
- ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff
- knowledge of local and state liquor laws
- capacity to handle cash and payment processing accurately
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work effectively under pressure
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guest needs during the omakase experience
- coordinate closely with the Chef to ensure timely and seamless service
- welcome guests according to service standards
- present beverage options
- take orders
- prepare and serve all beverages including sake and Japanese whiskey pairings
- execute beverage pairings with precision
- maintain continuous guest touchpoints
- support Chefs with guest-facing needs
- provide fine-dining service with storytelling and product knowledge
- design and execute seasonal cocktail menus including non-alcoholic options with Japanese influence
- oversee daily bar setup, prep, cleanliness, and closing procedures
- manage guest payment collection with accuracy and hospitality
- interact with guests and colleagues professionally and warmly
- host in the lounge when required by Management
