Job Requirements
- Food handler's license and liquor server permits as required by state law or ability to obtain
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Hospitality or hotel work experience preferred
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of liquor laws and food safety standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Job Duties
- Check the identification of all guests who appear to be under 26 years of age
- Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Input orders into a register at point of sale and create checks for guests to maintain accountability
- Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and properly execute vouchers to balance all monies
- Lock up and store beverage, food, and equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure bank
- Display knowledge of liquor laws, maintain attractive presentation and sanitize bar areas daily, suggest reception and drink menus
- Bus and clean tables after guest use
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Identify and resolve guest issues promptly
- Detect and act on customer inebriation as trained
- Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with guests
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information
- Obtain sales leads for the sales department
- Coordinate with front desk, maintenance, food and beverage manager, and general manager on issues requiring attention
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts
- Perform other hotel related duties as assigned
