Job Requirements
- desire to craft and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages
- previous hotel, hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred
- ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment
- must be able to pass required alcohol service training
- bartending or mixology training is not required
- a passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates
- schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel

Job Duties
- maintains complete knowledge of hotel's food and beverage preparation
- up-sells alcohol and food items
- uses a computer to accurately ring orders on a check
- accepts different types of payment and makes accurate change
- completes specific side-work and ensures the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
- quickly clears and resets tables
- maintains inventory of bar materials including wine, beer, and spirits
- checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
- refuses to serve beverages politely to guests who are not of legal age
- observes behavior, counts number of drinks served that contain alcohol, elevates to manager for intervention as needed
- maintains knowledge of and adheres to Food Handlers guidelines
- completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs
