Job Requirements
- Must be of legal drinking age according to state law
- Must pass a background check prior to employment
- Ability to work the required seasonal schedule including holidays and weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must maintain a drug-free status while employed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Must be punctual and reliable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending or related experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of standard bar equipment and drink recipes
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Understanding of and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work holidays and weekends
Job Duties
- Maintains a guest focus while performing duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- Complies with liquor pour standards as set by Food & Beverage management
- Ensure that all bar guests are of legal drinking age
- Inform guests of any food and beverage specials
- Recommends specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and desserts
- Knowledgeable and able to answer questions about our food, beverages and information about the local area of Sanibel
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in point-of-sale system
- Prepare beverages for guests and servers in a timely and accurate manner
- Mix and traditional and creating crafted drinks
- Keep bar in clean and neat condition at all times
- Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment
- Complete opening and closing side work
- Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience ensuring satisfaction
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- Attend all scheduled team member meetings and training bringing suggestions for improvement
- Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
- Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department
- Be familiar with menu knowledge and build rapport with guests to create a fun and friendly bar atmosphere
- Maintain cleanliness and all health codes of work area
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends
