Job Requirements

  • Minimum age as required by law to serve alcohol
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capable of exerting up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • willingness to comply with certification requirements such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers
  • strong team player with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • adaptable to changes
  • previous bartending experience a plus
  • experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems a plus

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to memorize food, cocktail and wine list menus
  • customer service experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • basic math skills for handling cash and payments
  • knowledge of alcohol safety and handling regulations
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • friendly and professional demeanor

Job Duties

  • Observe customers as they enter the bar area and ensure that they are greeted promptly and seated in a timely and friendly manner
  • verify ID and age of guests when necessary
  • know how to make traditional and classic cocktails, as well as specialty cocktails listed on menu
  • check in regularly with every guest to ensure satisfaction with food and drinks
  • accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
  • demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions
  • handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per LodgeWorks standards
