Job Requirements
- Minimum age as required by law to serve alcohol
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of exerting up to 60 pounds occasionally
- willingness to comply with certification requirements such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers
- strong team player with a focus on customer satisfaction
- adaptable to changes
- previous bartending experience a plus
- experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems a plus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to memorize food, cocktail and wine list menus
- customer service experience preferred
- excellent communication skills
- basic math skills for handling cash and payments
- knowledge of alcohol safety and handling regulations
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- friendly and professional demeanor
Job Duties
- Observe customers as they enter the bar area and ensure that they are greeted promptly and seated in a timely and friendly manner
- verify ID and age of guests when necessary
- know how to make traditional and classic cocktails, as well as specialty cocktails listed on menu
- check in regularly with every guest to ensure satisfaction with food and drinks
- accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
- demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions
- handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per LodgeWorks standards
