Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months in previous bartending experience
  • Professional appearance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Preferred certifications/licenses: (TIPS Certification)

Job Duties

  • Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner and in compliance with company standards
  • Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, and accurately counts and provides change to customers when applicable
  • Monitors the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting the sale to those who are intoxicated. Orders taxis or other means of transportation for intoxicated patrons
  • Operates in compliance with federal, state and local law requirements for serving alcohol
  • Greets customers and takes beverage orders for guests from restaurant servers
  • Performs shift opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager
  • Presents menus, takes orders and serves food to guests seated at the bar
  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains bar area including counters and equipment
  • Prepares garnishes, stocks, and replenishes beverages and garnishment supply as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
