Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous bartending experience preferred
- knowledge of drink preparation and cocktail recipes
- excellent communication skills
- ability to perform basic math
- cash handling skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to comply with health and safety regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant bartending procedures including drink recipes
- great good people skills including effective communication
- skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
- ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to handle money and make correct change
- ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management
Job Duties
- Prepare beverages in accordance with established procedures
- follow proper cash control procedures
- practice proper par stock ordering procedures
- maintain current knowledge of all policies and procedures concerning service of all alcoholic beverages
- responsible for set-up and cleaning of bar area
- monitor and assist in training barbacks
- maintain knowledge of current hotel activities, beverage outlets and operations
- comply with all health and safety standards
- attend meetings as scheduled
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
