Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 due to TABC requirements
- Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends
- Any combination of education and experience which provides requisite knowledge skills and abilities may be substituted at discretion of Human Resources
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must comply with city policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification or obtain by start date
- Minimum of one year of bartending experience
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations inventory management and cost control
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations sanitation guidelines and alcohol service laws
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with the public
- Moderate level of technological competency
- Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails beers wines and specialty drinks
- Follow safe handling standards for stocking beverages and related supplies including rotating and storing products and pulling expired products from inventory
- Follow all safety and health policies and procedures including use of protective equipment proper refrigeration and food handling
- Maintain daily inventories
- Operate work related machines tools and equipment such as the register credit card machine and kitchen equipment
- Process card and mobile payments from customers ensuring charges are accurate
- Maintain a clean organized and presentable work area by performing cleaning tasks in accordance with policy and procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations sanitation guidelines and alcohol service laws maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff members
