Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- must be at least 21 years of age
- one year of bartending experience in similar volume venues
- ability to pass stringent background check
- willingness to undergo pre-employment and random drug screenings
- must obtain and maintain New Mexico Alcohol Server's License
- ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- must be able to lift at least 150 lbs
- capable of performing physical activities such as balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- maintain punctual and regular attendance according to policy.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certification
- at least one year of bartending experience in a similar volume venue
- knowledge of beverage preparation, ingredients, and proper mixing techniques
- excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate POS systems
- strong attention to detail
- ability to follow directions and maintain safety standards
- knowledge of sanitation and responsible alcohol service
- ability to work well in diverse teams
- effective communication skills
- capable of handling cash and providing correct change
- ability to handle difficult customer situations professionally.
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional service to guests by taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience
- craft and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
- serve food items as required and prepare drinks with proper pouring portions and ingredients according to recipe
- set up and break down the bar area including stocking products, changing kegs, and cleaning
- check and maintain bar equipment and report problems
- maintain a clean bar and stocked workstation aligned with health and safety guidelines
- operate POS system accurately managing cash and charge transactions
- adhere to all applicable laws and alcohol service regulations including age verification and refusing service to intoxicated guests
- handle challenging situations with tact, notifying supervisors as needed
- complete closing paperwork and restock orders
- assist in training new team members
- ensure all glassware is clean and undamaged
- attend pre-shift meetings for updates on specials and promotions
- complete daily sales and cash reconciliation
- maintain secure storage of products
- complete incident documentation and temperature logs
- represent the department with professionalism and punctuality
- perform additional job-related duties as assigned
- change kegs and maintain tables in the absence of barback or server.
