Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to operate a computerized cash register
- Knowledge of ABC guidelines pertaining to the service of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions
- Ability to make simple arithmetic calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the characteristics of wine, beer and spirits
- Knowledge of beverage products and cocktail recipes
- Familiarity with liquor laws
- Ability to assist customers in making menu and bar selections
- Excellent memory and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in operating computerized cash register
- Ability to handle cash and/or credit cards accurately
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prepare event sheets properly and in a timely manner
Job Duties
- Takes, prepares, and serves orders for beverages
- Advises customers regarding menu items
- Occasionally serves food to and assists patrons at catered events
- Politely answers customers' questions regarding the organization
- Makes coffee and other beverages
- Performs some record-keeping for inventory, tax and timecard purposes
