Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to apply
- knowledge of organization policies and procedures
- familiarity with ABC guidelines pertaining to the service of alcoholic beverages
- ability to prepare event sheets properly and in a timely manner
- excellent memory and organizational skills
- ability to work under direction
- good customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the characteristics of wine, beer and spirits
- knowledge of beverage products and cocktail recipes
- understanding of liquor laws
- ability to assist customers in making menu and bar selections
- tactful and courteous communication skills
- ability to understand and carry out instructions
- ability to make simple arithmetic calculations
- proficiency in operating computerized cash registers
- capability to work in a fast paced environment
- proficiency in handling cash and/or credit cards, making change properly
Job Duties
- Takes, prepares, and serves orders for beverages
- advises customers regarding menu items
- occasionally serves food to and assists patrons at catered events
- politely answers customers' questions regarding the organization
- makes coffee and other beverages
- performs some record-keeping for inventory, tax and timecard purposes
