Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in bar or food and beverage service preferred
- knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages recipes and presentation
- excellent communication skills
- ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- customer service orientation
- RBS certification
- food safety certification
Job Duties
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurants in accordance with service standards
- anticipate guests' needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests making recommendations from guests' preferences
- take guests' food and beverage orders utilizing suggestive selling techniques
- complete opening duties including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist
- requisition necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar
- set bar according to service standards
- set up all condiments and beverages according to standards
- prepare all fresh fruit garnishes as per service standards
- ensure sufficient supply of flatware glassware and chinaware for service
- ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
- set upside stations with supplies and equipment
- record guests' orders into point-of-sale system and receive payment following procedures
- adhere to payment cash handling and credit policies
- open wine champange bottles and serve according to service standards
- retrieve food orders from kitchen
- monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas
- guide bar back activities to ensure optimum service
- remove soiled wares and clean bar area immediately after guests depart
- collect and report tips at end of shift
- complete closing duties and reports and report to supervisor or manager on duty
- maintain RBS certification and Food Safety certification as required
- follow 4 Keys service standards SOPs and safety standards
- comply with all policies and strive to improve operational standards
- adhere to safety and security procedures
- work cohesively with coworkers and departments as a team
- adhere to attendance and reliability standards
- perform additional duties as assigned by management
