Job Requirements

  • Of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
  • alcohol beverage certification
  • food safety certification
  • two years of full-service bartending experience preferred
  • ability to perform physical activities such as standing for long periods, walking, climbing stairs, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • able to work in hot, humid, and noisy environment
  • must be available for different shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Alcohol beverage certification
  • food safety certification
  • two years of full-service bartending experience preferred
  • working knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits with ability to learn and follow recipes
  • familiarity with basic safety and sanitation requirements
  • basic knowledge of club’s POS system or comparable POS system preferred
  • ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders
  • good organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • knowledge of emergency roles and procedures

Job Duties

  • Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies are available
  • request additional supplies as necessary and stock the bar
  • follow set-up procedures
  • prepare garnishes, fruits, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks before opening
  • greet members and guests
  • mix, prepare, and serve drinks to members and guests according to standard recipes
  • collect checks and payments for drinks served
  • report complaints to manager as they occur
  • maintain and clean bar area and equipment
  • maintain records of liquors, beers, and wine to ensure stock is maintained
  • clean and lock bar area according to closing procedures
  • ensure all food items are stored, labeled, dated, and rotated to prevent hazards
  • attend staff meetings and training sessions
  • follow laws and club policies on alcoholic beverage service
  • serve drinks to members and guests seated in the lounge when necessary
  • practice beverage and revenue control procedures
  • thank members and guests and invite them to return
  • complete other work assignments as requested
