Job Description
The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a luxurious resort situated in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. This upscale hotel is part of an ambitious new development project that includes 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, eight hotels totaling 1,350 rooms, a vast 250,000 square feet of combined conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" worldwide. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit
- Physical stamina to lift moderate weight
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Desire to satisfy guest needs in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to comply with local and state regulations
- Prior bartending experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of mixology and current cocktail trends
- Experience working in upscale or high-volume bar environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced settings
- Understanding of state and local alcohol service laws
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Certification in alcohol service or food handling as required by local or state laws
Job Duties
- Provide libations and offer customized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and attractive presentation of the bar area
- Demonstrate proficiency with the latest mixology techniques and bar equipment
- Ensure compliance with state and local alcohol service regulations
- Engage with guests to create memorable and enjoyable experiences
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of bar supplies
- Adhere to sanitation and safety standards consistently
