Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or bar service preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Must comply with all alcohol service laws and regulations
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be able to handle cash accurately
Job Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Must communicate well with guests
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and portion control
- Manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, handle glassware and mix drinks
- Ability to remember and promote menu items
- Ability to operate a point of sale system
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
- Requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
- Maintains stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promotes drink orders
- Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- Abides by all State, Federal and Corporate alcoholic beverage requirements
- Inputs orders into the point of sale register, creates checks and maintains beverage accountability
- Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges, records charges, and secures cash deposits
- Ensures all beverage and food items are locked and secured at closing
- Complies with attendance rules and performs other job-related duties as assigned
