Job Requirements
- Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops and total charges
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks and retrieve stock
- basic English language skills to understand inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand and walk constantly
- frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card

- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
- basic English language writing skills to complete requisitions and vouchers
- sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks and retrieve stock
- basic knowledge of English to understand customer inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking all necessary items
- maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and perishables daily
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders correctly and courteously
- input orders into register, create checks to maintain accountability
- perform general cleaning tasks adhering to health standards
- adhere to all company policies and safety rules
- follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
- use protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
